On the one hand, crude oil fell to the bottom to suppress the downstream rubber and plastics industry. The cost collapse also aggravated the sentiment of downstream practitioners. In addition, the demand entered the off-season, and the factory was gradually affected by the Lunar New Year's atmosphere, and the downstream operating rate was partial. Low, factories generally do not stock up, social inventories have also fallen to low levels, trading is deserted; in addition, the economic bad atmosphere is intensifying, the January 2016 China Commodity Supply and Demand Index released by the business community also confirms the economic downturn: BCI index For -0.24, the increase was -1.10%, reflecting that the manufacturing economy in the month was contracted from last month, and the economy had downside risks. The rubber and plastics industry was also affected by this, and it was lost.
The weakness of rubber is still in a narrow range in the later period
Rubber still continued its decline in December last year. Although synthetic rubber rebounded, its strength was slightly weak, and natural rubber and special rubber remained at low levels.
In January, the synthetic rubber market rose slightly overall, with weak consolidation. The business community data showed that the gains in January were +0.84%, the growth of styrene-butadiene 1502 was +0.40%, and the increase in SBS was +1.89%. Specifically, at the beginning of the month, Shun Ding and SBS oscillated upward. In the latter part of the year, the price of styrene and benzene fluctuated upwards. At the end of the month, there was a short-term temporary stability, and the overall consolidation was dominated. There are three main reasons for the weak consolidation of synthetic rubber this month: First, due to the impact of the price of raw materials, the market price of styrene and butadiene continues to weaken due to fluctuations in crude oil prices, resulting in synthetic rubber at the end of the downstream industrial chain. The price is mainly stable; Second, due to the temporary stability of Sinopec and PetroChina ex-factory prices, PetroChina and Sinopec continue to stabilize the price of synthetic rubber, resulting in a small market distribution price; Third, due to the impact of the futures market, the rubber futures price began this month. First rise and then fall, continue to fluctuate and volatility, and gradually stabilized by the end of the month, so that the price of synthetic rubber can only be dominated by wait-and-see, weak consolidation. At the same time, due to insufficient downstream demand, the price of synthetic rubber is low, the market turnover is limited, and most dealers report that there is no goods.
